Aridland Development Programme (ADP)

Community Based Vocational Skills project is an informal youth training programme aimed at skilling the vulnerable youths with market oriented trades for a considerate period of time depending on the trade to enable them become self-employed with the ability to become economically independent thereby improving their ability to meet their basic needs and household support.

During this reporting period 70 youths (30 females and 40 males) have been trained in motorcycle and generator repair, building and construction practice, agricultural vocational skills, beading and craft and metal fabrication. Financial planning, management and entrepreneurship skills have been extended to the 70 trainees.
