Mr. Owilli Joel Achilla
PROGRAM MANAGER (PM)
Mr. Owilli Joel Achilla is a teacher turned development practitioner, he started his career as a secondary School teacher in 2000 and later joined KDDS as facilitator and trainer for Adult Literacy Facilitators.
He has served with Local, National and International organizations at various capacities, He was Project officer with Karamoja Dioceses Development Services (KDDS) for 9 years as project officer and later as Zonal Team Leader. He also served as District Programme Coordinator for North Karamoja with Warchild UK for 1 year, Project Manager with Samaritan Purse International Relief for 3 years, Regional Coordinator (Karamoja) with Straight Talk Foundation for 2 Years and currently working as Programme Manager with Aridland Development Programme since November 2018
He has gained considerable experience and has attended short trainings in Emergency Operation Programme, Participatory Development approaches such as PICD, DNH, RBA, SASA, REFLECT and is a master trainer in these field
He holds a Master in Development Studies of Uganda Christian Uganda, Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management of Busoga University, Bachelor in Education of Uganda Christian University, Certificate in Emergency Operation Programme in London (UK), Diploma in secondary Education of ITEK (Current Kyambogo University)
He is passionate about development in Karamoja and has spent all is working years in Karamoja
